CLI

One command to log in, create an app, and hand your coding agent the tracker skill. No tracking-plan file required.

For agents and humans

The CLI installs the EventDash skill into .cursor/skills/eventdash/ and .claude/skills/eventdash/. The skill’s job is the snippet plus 1–3 data-ed-goal attributes — not a yaml manifest.

Start

npx @eventdash/cli start

Opens a device-login URL. Approve it while signed in to EventDash.
Creates an app (name defaults to the folder).
Writes EVENTDASH_WRITE_KEY and NEXT_EVENTDASH_API_KEY to .env. Refuses if .env is not gitignored.
Installs the skill for Cursor and Claude Code.

Keys

ed_ write key — public tracker only.
eds_ server key — EVENTDASH_SERVER_KEY for trusted revenue on Standard+. Never in the browser.
MCP tokens stay edt_ / edr_. See MCP.
